Direct Tv Complaint

Fraudulent Billing

Hi,

Had the following problems with Direct TV service after I signed up for service on Jan 28,2008:

1) All bills have been in error, no effort has been made to correct them.
2) The first two bills were fraudulently taken from my checking account without my knowledge or permission. This caused me to have two overdrafts on my account . These were the first overdrafts I've ever had, and a definite blemish on my credit. These occurred on 4-3 and 3-3. I called Direct TV(DTV) on 4-3 .
3) On 4-3, I called DTV and after speaking to several agents,I asked for a supervisor and spoke to Chris ext 2790. She assured me there would be no more withdrawals from my account and I would be reimbursed the overdraft fee, $33 x 2 =$66 , that the $42 per month charge for premium channels for the first 3 months would be removed, that premium channels would be stopped after the free ones ended, and DTV would honor the $39.99 introductory rate for one year.
4) Called DTV on 6-30 and was on the phone for about 3 hours with about 6 agents and supervisors, many spoke with accents and so fast, I couldn't understand what they were saying. I got a variety of answers, we can only rebate you back 2 months, we don't offer $39.99 a month, the supervisor you spoke with on 4-3 didn't say she would stop the premium channels, let us offer you some premium channels because we don't know what to do. I got nowhere. I assume that all calls are recorded and this info can be verified.
5) Just received another bill and it's still in error. Another tactic used is mathematical semantics where they tell you that you are getting a $10 credit, a $3 credit etc. The math doesn't add up and I can't figure it out. The bottom line is always more than the initial agreement. What is wrong?
6) How do I straighten out the overdraft on my credit? Can you put a dollar figure on it?

On behalf of DirecTv, I am hereby authorized to send each and every account that has outstanding balances to CBE for collections. This is my job. Pay your bills on time and in full, and we would not have to do this. Being poor/broke is not an excuss, you ordered the service, you pay the bill.

I also am having a problem with fraudulent charges from Direct TV. 3 months ago I got my verizon bill with my direct tv charges on it there was a charge for NFL Sunday Ticket for $41.50 I never ordered it, and it said payment 1 of 6 so I called Direct TV they said they would refund me so I got my next bill and of course the $41.50 was on it again I called and talked to a lady she said they would refund me the $83.00 on my next bill, and that when you order Direct TV it comes with NFL Sunday Ticket and it automatically renews AGAIN stupid me I believed her that they would credit my account, guess what I got my new bill today and no credit but charge #3 of $41.50 is on there again this time I called pissed off and the guy said there was no notes that I called before and they cannot remove the charges and also I said that means I still have to pay 3 more months of $41.50 because it is on 6 payments and he said yes. I am furious, We don't even watch football!!I called verizon because they are the ones that talked me into switching to Direct TV all she could say was to take Direct TV off the bundle package and have Direct tv bill me themselves what good will that do. I told the guy at Direct TV I was going to tell everyone I know what they are doing to people he could care less I'm SURE THEY DO THIS TOO THOUSANDS EVRY DAY. Buy the way I also cancelled the Movie Channel and HBO 3 months ago and sure enough got billed the following month for that also.

30 Months of Fraudulent Billing!
Wednesday, May 27, 2009 10:50 a.m.

Called and spoke to David (U2631) at DIRECTV he informed me Amanda would return my call within 2 hours.
Amanda (R9631) at DIRECTV called offered me 60 days credit I politely refused and again informed DIRECTV that I would be suing in small claims court and filing criminal charges for unauthorized use of a credit card. Amanda kept telling me that DIRECTV had spoken with me and I had not called DIRECTV to confirm the disconnect and that DIRECTV had billed me for approximately 30 months before I noticed. I stressed to Amanda that I had never been contacted by DIRECTV after my initial E-mail in July, 2006 and that I had never spoken to DIRECTV about this account until February 24, 2009 when I discovered the fraudulent billing.

DIRECTVs position appears to be that I did not catch DIRECTV soon enough so DIRECTV intends to keep most of the funds that DIRECTV fraudulently removed from my bank account because I did not catch DIRECTVs fraud quickly enough. The approximately $100 credit DIRECTV offered does not equal the approximately $1600 dollars DIRECTV obtained fraudulently.
