we called direct TV to get in on their offer of $ 29.99 a month for a number of channels. we did but 5 months later, the $ 29.99 first turned into $69.99 and later in $ 112.99
it bacame a nightmare paying this bill. always new charges that were explained away by their reps in an unbelievable maze of sementics. we started paying out more money to direct TV than to our food bill or the power bill. one time we cut out a check for $ 177.00. yes you heard it right $ 177.00 for one month of service. my wife and I decided to stop this nonsens that draining us in more a than monetary way. ita was draining us in boredom because they always had the same movies and re-runs of the same old shows. the only new thing on TV were the Networks. DIRECT TV DID NOT OFFER ANYTHING NEW!!!!!!!!!!!!!
yet were paying dearly. when we cancelled. we found out thay had signed us to a two year contract and took out
$ 405.00 from our bank account without our consent. we called to complain and were told that is the way they do business and there was nothing we could do about it. Since when does any company have the right to bill you for something you did not agree to? we were never told by anybody there that we werer getting in to a two year contract. had we known, we would never have bought in. they deceived us. they tricked us. they kept this information from us intentionally. then they withdrew
$ 405 from the bank account without telling us about it.
we want our money back and an apology would be nice too.
Direct TV should be made to pay back this money and accept some kind of payment plan.
they engage in unethical business practice and I will do everything I can to not recommend them. they are the worst cable service in the country
