My name is vicky estes. My son answered an add off of craiges list for employment installing direct TV about 13 weeks ago. They told him that they would pay him 8 dollars an hour for 2 weeks of training and that he would not be out of pocket for any upfront expences. They told him he would make up to 400 dollars a day for doing 4 installs. My son took the job and began working for a woman by the name of kris wallenburg from out of west Virginia. He worked from early morning til sometimes midnight 6 days a week. He was given the run around about his pay and had to buy all the materials for all his jobs. Pay for gas to drive all over middle tn and ky. He received only 1 partial check from them. And when he went in to work on Monday morning she told him he had to pay 2 hundred and 50 dollars to take a test that he knows others had taken at no cost to them. When he told them he didn't have the money kris wallenburg fired my son. He was contacted and told to go to the supervisors home in nashville to get his check. Witch for us is 1 an a half hour drive. He arived at this mikeys house at five thirtypm and at 8 pm the man finally showed up after zach talked to him several times told him he had his wife and three babies in the car with him and did not have the gas to drive back to dickson county. The man sent his roomate out to the driveway with a contract. Told my son that if he signed it he had a blank check to fill out for him when my son refused to sign the contract he refused to give him any check. My son has 3 babies to take care of and they ran out of gas on the way home. I had to go pick them up. Now my son is being evicted from his home lossing his vehicle and is behind on all hiw bills. The babies have no diapers or anything else for that matter. I live in a2 bedroom apt but will move them in with me. He went to the better buisness beauro and they said that it was a scam but they had so many casses they can not take anymore. My son needs help!! This is wrong. And the ppl of tn need to know what type of ppl that direct TV is contracting their work out to. They continue to hire new ppl everyday!!This needs to be stopped. My son is is dire need of someone to stand up for him and stop this coporate wrong doing.
