Direct TV Complaint

Direct TV Service provider Swipes Bank account without permission - Satellite Tv Cancellation

- Milton,Florida
Direct Tv service provider charges me a cancellation fee of $200.00 Direct Tv offers to move your service with extending contract, but that is not true. I moved in September of 2007 and I cancelled service in May 2008. Their service provider swipe my BANK DEBIT one week after I call to cancel my service ( because I can't not afford it any longer.!)WITHOUT NOTICE! THey swipe account on that THursday and the following Saturday I get the Bill. No Phone calls - no 30 day window to allow me to Pay the bill!
So Now my bank account is in the negative! I don't write bad check I keep up with My tight budget bank account. THis is a unfair act to comsumers and something needs to be done!I called Direct Tv - and they said it is part of the contract. THis is a outrage!

On behalf of DirecTv, I am hereby authorized to send each and every account that has outstanding balances to CBE for collections. This is my job. Pay your bills on time and in full, and we would not have to do this. Being poor/broke is not an excuss, you ordered the service, you pay the bill.

This same thing happened to us! I hope this man who replied to this never has a hard time, like being out of work for 11 months! Some people have no heart or compassion for others! When we signed up for DTV we were not expecting my husband to lose his job! People also don't expect to be ripped off when DTV decides to jack their rates up making it even harder on folks!
