I had been searching for a used 2004 Nissan Xterra for about 3 weeks when I found the just listed model at DHC Chryler Jeep Dodge of Temecula the morning of July 4th. I printed the ad because it said to do so and I called to make sure it was there. I was asked to hold and then after asking where I would be coming from I was asked for my phone number while it was verified the car was there. I said no problem I went to a dealer once to find the car I was asked to schedule an appointment to test drive was sold 3 days before. I was asked how I new about the car and I said the internet and mentioned what a great price it was $8055.00. I was told I would be called back shortly and when she did instructed me to see the fleet mgr.
i arrived and the car was ready for test drive, upon returning to the lot I said ok lets do it and handed him the print out with there sale price and he began to stall and tell me a story about there web site being hacked and they would not honor the sale price. he said they had fixed the problem yesterday and he was sorry but that price was not possible. I said I printed that this morning and then proceeded to use there computer to show them the sale price as I printed was still up. they refused to sale me the car for that price. he said that would lose money and the best he could do was $10,804.95 with tax and fees and that did not cover the $1200.00 they put into the car. they said they had a disclaimer and a retraction how I saw neither and was not told of such until after I showed them my sale price. I did buy the car because I liked it and I needed to buy something and because I know it is CA law that what they did was unlawful. I will do what I have to do to get the money I was over charged returned.
