Delta Airlines Complaint

Delta Security Airline Theft

On a returning flight from McCarron airport Las Vegas with Delta airlines. I was traveling with my elderly paren'ts we were perfect victims for the airline to steal from. I checked my luggage in early I was trying to take care of my paren'ts. When I returned home my plastic luggage tag was removed from my suitcase. When I opened my luggage. My plastic container I had my jewelry in was empty, zipped back up and my jewelry was stolen. They had plenty of time to go through my luggage. They had the nerve to throw back in my suitcase a watch that I broke in Vegas. I have traveled often and I am aware of the tags they put on your luggage when they have to open it, their was no tag. I'm just sick over this matter. I've tried very hard to deal with the Delta. They continue to give me a hard time. Everyone once you mention stealing either puts you on hold, directs you to someone else, or just hangs up on you. I've tried writing letters to Delta, with no response.

I've worked hard my entire life for everything you wouldn't think they could just get away with stealing, and no one has to answer for it.

that is for sure my husband was a victum also he went through security and even tho the alarms did not go off they did a strip search of him in public and made him hold up his arms and undo his zipper and down went his pants and they treated him with so much disrespect and to top it all off he did not get to fly and they trashed his luggage and dumped his med and shampoo all in the bottom and it even messed up his suits and clothing and this happen before we even left the airport at dothan AL. it was so sad he has traveled all over and has flew most of his life but as of now he will never get on Delta again and when we complainted they laughed and like they did you they hung up on us and after emails and certified letters they still have not in any way contacted us. DELTA SUCKS AS FOR AS WE ARE CONCERNED AND HOPE THEY GET PUT OUT OF BUSSINESS

Just got back from sitting in the JFK airport for over 24 hours due to my flight being cancelled. When I tried to get my bag from baggage claim when the flight was cancelled they told me that I could not retrieve it because they were not pulling bags. Well someone was because when I got home to Rochester my pink sapphire and diamond ring was gone. And they are not liable? You have to be kidding me. Anyone able to figure out how to take action against these thiefs?

Just had a similar incident with Delta at McCarron airport. Had missed a flight from Detroit and the luggage went on to McCarron without us. The luggage was there for a couple hours until me and my fellow travellers caught up to it. More than enough time for Delta employees to open and rummage through all 4 of our bags. They took cigarettes (we all packed a carton each) and my digital camera. I'm a professional photographer and my equipment was expensive. I had to go back to the airport to file a theft report with Delta. I got a letter in the mail two weeks later asking for details and receipts for the stolen equipment. Two weeks later I received a letter saying Delta would not reimburse me for the theft. If they weren't going to reimburse me, why did they ask for receipts. I don't believe the airline is not responsible for theft when my belongings are in their possession. And where is all the security for airline employees? As travellers we are subjected to almost undressing before we board but obviously airline employees can bring anything or take anything from the airport that they want without being checked. By the number of incidents reported (just about Delta alone) there is a "hole" in security. I'm going to write a reply to the letter from Delta and I'm going to be sure to CC: TSA,FAA, Homeland Security, and my state congressional and senate representatives. I realize they won't reimburse me and I accept that. But someone needs to address security for air travellers or we will have another 9/11. And THAT would be unacceptable.
