T-Mobile Complaint

defualt on service offer - cell phone service

- Gilbert, AZ
Contract Dispute.
????? versus T-Mobile.

I have been a T-Mobile user for several years with the two year basic plan of $19.99 per month. 60 minutes of air time.
In March of 2010 I was contacted by Consumer Cellular stating that they were offering a plan sponsored by AARP. For $19.99 per month with no contract and 250 whatever minutes with a camera phone. I was offered a 45 day free trial and if I decided to keep the phone at the end of this trial I would then be billed for $19.99 per month for 250 minutes air time. I agreed to have them send me a phone for the 45 day free trial. The only charges to me would be the standard cell phone activation fee.
After I received the phone I began using it. I also kept My T-Mobile phone active in the event I did not want to keep the Consumer Cellular phone. After using the consumer cellular phone for a short period. I contacted T-Mobile customer service and ask them when my current contract expired. I was asked by the T-Mobile customer service agent why I wanted to know the contract expiration date. I told her I was thinking canceling T-Mobile service and signing up with the Consumer Cellular plan is this plan was offering me 250 minutes for $19.99 a month rather than the 60 minutes for $19.99 that I was now getting from T-Mobile.
The T-Mobile customer service agent s then told me she was willing to offer me 500 whatever minutes for $19.99 per month. If I was willing to renew my two-year contract.
On April 2 and went to the 2B Wireless store in Gilbert Arizona, ????? is an exclusive dealership for T-Mobile. The salesman named ????? verified the $19.99 per month for 500 whatever minutes was a valid offer after contacting T-Mobile customer service. I also receive a Nokia 5130 camera phone at no extra charge. ????? stated for a second time that the $19.95 per month fee for 500 Whatever minutes was a valid contract as per customer service. ????? also told me there would be no additional activation fee for changing my current phone number. I was receiving a good number of unsolicited sales calls on my current phone number and I wanted it changed.
When I began receiving excess charges on my monthly phone bill. I called T-Mobile customer service. And was told after several phone calls, and by several different people that the $39.99 charge for 500 whatever minutes was valid. And there was no such thing as a $19.99 for 500 whatever minute plan. After several attempts to correct is going problem with T-Mobile. I was told by a customer service representative to go to the store where I purchased the phone and go over the problem with them.
On June 3, 2010. I drove to the ?????store at ???????? I was told by one of the salesman there that ????? was no longer employed by T. mobile and another salesman at this store asked me what my problem was and proceeded to listen to my complaint of the billing charges.
After listening to what I had to say he also told me $19.99 monthly charge for 500 whatever minutes plan did not exist. I explained to him that this plan was offered to me by a T-Mobile customer service representative in March of 2010. When I told the customer service representative I was thinking of canceling my T-Mobile service after the expiration date of my current contract.
The 2B Wireless salesman proceeded to call T-Mobile customer service and put the phone the speaker phone so I could hear the conversation. After talking with two T-Mobile customer service representatives, who insisted there was no such plan 2B Wireless salesman requested the customer service representative to pull up the notes on my account. These notes are recorded by T-Mobile as a record of any conversations between the customer service representative and the customers.
After pulling up the notes the customer service representative stated that Wayne C. Hall was indeed offered 500. Whatever minutes at $19.99 per month. This statement was heard by the salesman in the 2B Wireless Store and myself.
After speaking to ????? and ????? of T-Mobile. we were told that they could not change the contract, and we would have to speak to a supervisor. A 15 minute conversation with ??????? a T-Mobile Customer Service Supervisor yielded no results. She claimed the plan did not exist and would not honor the contract or any offers I had from T-Mobile.
The 2B Wireless salesman then requested the Supervisor, ????? to lookup the notes pertaining to Wayne C. Hall's account. Evelyn then stated she could not find the notes or any reference to my contract price of $19.99 for 500 minutes. The notes verifying my contract for $19.99 for 500 minutes had mysteriously disappeared during our 15 minute conversation with ??????.
I then asked ????? to cancel my new two-year contract with T-Mobile due to what I felt was a clearly breach of contract on the part of T-Mobile. ????? then informed me that she definitely would not cancel a contract and if I discontinued service I would be billed for $200 for an early withdrawal.
When I asked Evelyn for the name and address of T-Mobile's corporate attorney. I was given a P. O. Box number in New Mexico, and ?????? told me if I had any further complaints to send them to that address.
I have enjoyed many years of great service with T-Mobile however this last incident with the T-Mobile customer service department has left me with some serious doubts as to the capability and managerial qualifications of T-Mobile's customer service staff.
A very dissatisfied T-Mobile customer.
