In December, 2010 my wife and I attended a timeshare presentation at Residence Club La Jolla, Nuevo Mazatlan, Mexico. Residence Club La Jolla, through it's sales manager Armando, represented that if I would buy a membership in their resort, that within 90 days another company with which Residence Club La Jolla claimed to have an ancilliary relationship, "Swap Global" would purchase two of my existing time shares. The deal was that I would end up with one less time share and several thousand dollars in my pocket. My wife and I agreed to the proposal. That evening at dinner we discussed the events of the day and concluded that we had been conned. We promptly returned to the resort the next day to demand cancellation and a refund. We also promptly filed a report with Profeco, the Mexican Consumer Protection agency. I have demanded a full refund; and have received nothing but lies and the run around.
