The DC Charter Board revoked the School's Charter for a myraid of reasons indigenous to most schools in DC. These include test scores, truancy and management. All contracts were finished June 30,2010. Teachers, Staff and the School Nurse have not been paid for the last 3 weeks of June.
All funds regarding payroll and vendors are now under the control of the DC Charter Board since the school was place in " receivership". They have already held up payments to vendors that include the cleaning service and access to the Internet. This paralyzed student reasearch, access to the Department of Health Immunization Registry and educational resources, at the same time creating a unhealthy working environment.
The school is open 9-1 for summer school and the end of July it is completely closed andthe building is already for sale.
Could you help about 50 people get paid for what they have already earned?
Thank you.
