I bought a washer and dryer at Sears in early October. They said that they were going to send my the appliances on the 9th of October but then they called me and told me that the appliance can't be sent until the 20th of October. There was some disagreement between them and myself about my appliance being sent so late. Long story but making it short, they did send the washer and dryer on October 20th. My fiance was home and I was at work and so they delivered it. My fiance told them where to put the washer and dryer but they didn't listen to him; they only install the washer and told him that they are going upstairs and will be back. They went upstairs for a while and didn't go back downstairs and so my fiance went upstairs and they were gone. And so he had to install the dryer himself. When I came home I was so excited about our new appliance and then found scratches on our floor where they put the washer and dryer. I called the 1800 number from sears right away. I have been battling with them since October. I was going to return the appliances but then my local store told me that they will be willing to fix my floor if I keep the washer and dryer and gave me a discount on my dryer since it was scratched. I called them today 2/16/2011 and the manager said that he had never told me it was guaranteed that my floor was going to be fixed. He said that he will call Rob, who lives in Florida, whom I spoke to a few weeks later after I made several complaints and was really rude to me and he is a manager back in October or early November. I then got a phone call like 10 minutes from Florida. The lady spoke to me at first but then when I told her I wasn't home that day she told me to hand the phone over to my fiance since he was home that day and told my fiance that since he had signed the consent they can't do anything about it but will call back if she hears anything from the delivery team
