On July 31,2007, I walked into curry honda wanting to trade in my 2006 suzuki grand vatara for a 2007 honda accord. After speaking with one particular sales rep. She let me test drive and select the vehicle I was interested in. When we got back to the showroom, another salesperson, came up and starting taking over her sale. (Rude). After processing my documents, (5 hours), I went in to sign my paperwork with the finance manager (valerie). After all contracts, warranties, etc was signed, I drove off in my new honda accord. (Happy).
On aug 10th, I received a phone call (from a manager-larry bass) at my work (after business hours), that I needed to come in to sign additional paper. I said ok, I'll be in on Monday, aug 13. When I got there they told me that could not approve my loan because before I came to them for financing, I had been turned down at another honda dealership???????. (This should have been foreseen prior, on my credit report). I didn't understand at that point what was going on. I'd already signed a contract for 72 months, driving the vehicle for 2 weeks.
I feel this was a fraud and a high-level scam. I ended up back in my trade-in vehicle. I will be getting a lawyer to prosecute.
