I went to purchase a used car from a private owner. I was told by the seller that there was a transferable extended warranty. I took home a copy and told the seller that if it could be transferred we would purchase the car. I called the 800 number on the paper and gave the contract number to the customer service rep and I was told that after you receive plates and reg to go to your local dealer with the form I had in my possession and with 50 dollars, it would be done!! After three trips to local dealers, numerous calls to customer service, and a four page letter written to customer service and the service contracts division, I am told they are sorry the contract cannot transferred.
I have already filed a complaint with dept of consumer affairs, but this is big corp against one person
