A friend and I stayed at the Embassy Suites in Miami for one night prior to boarding a cruise ship for a seven-day vacation to the Caribbean. The following morning we put our luggage aboard a van to be delivered to the pier - mine never made it. An extensive search was made on the ship, as well as numerous emails to Embassy Suites, but it was never found. I spent the entire cruise without proper clothes and was forced to buy whatever I needed on the ship, also warm clothes to return home to N. J. My vacation was ruined; I spent most of the time in a depression, wearing borrowed clothes.
When I returned home a week later, I spent a full day on the phone, determined to find my luggage....and I did find it, stowed in a closet at the Embassy Suites! My name and cabin number were still on the original tag from the cruise line. They finally did send it to me via Fed Ex, but refused any culpability because they said IT WAS MY FAULT BECAUSE I HAD LEFT IT AT THE HOTEL - an outrageous lie: I have proof of everything I am alleging.
I have emailed Hilton Hotels, the parent company, with my complaint of shoddy treatment - they have chosen to ignore me. I feel that I should be reimbursed for the vacation cruise that was taken away from me through negligence.
