In June 2010 I put a charge on the credit card. When the payment was due I made the payment on the date it was due. The Juniper credit received the payment and applied it as late along with a late fee. In Aug 2010 I called Juniper credit and reported with. They agreed to remover the late fee.
Sept 2010 & Oct 2010 passed and they never removed the late fee. On the contrary they continued to add late fees, non payment fees, and interest to the account. In Oct 2010, I called again and reported this. They now wanted to come to a settlement with me and have me pay for half all these fees they had imposed. I told them I wouldn't pay a penny and to close the account. They told me the account had been deactivated but that it could not be closed till I paid it in full. Otherwise it would continue to accrue all these fees on a monthly basis.
Well the account has continued to accrue fees. The balance now is $252 in fees & interest alone. In addition they have been reporting me to the credit bureau for non-payment and has ruined my credit. I don't know what to do now. Please help.
