1st Financial Asset Services Complaint

Credit Card rate negotiators are a BIG SCAM! - negotiation of credit card rates

- Florida
One year ago I was lured into working with a company called 1st Financial Asset Services. They promised to re-negotiate my credit cards rates down since I had a large amount of debt. The offer sounded too good to be true and I should have listened my intuition. They stated that it will not cost me anything since it will be done as a reverse interest rate? (whatever that is supposed to mean). Well, they charged one of my cards for $900 stating that they will save me much more and some how I will save money at the end. They stated that they have great relationships with the credit cards and they will be able to save me at least $9000. What they ended up doing is creating and sending me a so called "customized budget plan" booklet with numbers on how to make certain monthly payments and be out of debt in 5 years. It took me a year to figure out that they never negotiated with my credit cards as the company called 1st Financial services. They used my personal information which I initially gave to them to make phone calls and question rates pretending to be me. When I noticed no progress was made in my rate negotiations I called and wanted to cancel my services stating that the service I bought from them was not a booklet on monthly payments but active negotiations on their behalf, but they were able to suck me into one more set of so called "negotiations". After miserable one year of calling back and forth, phone calls not being returned and finally calling the credit cards myself to see what kind of negotiations were done I discovered that it was ONE BIG SCAM. So now I lost $900 and one year of headache. I just want people NOT TO FALL for this type of scam. Be careful!
