My grandson was arrested for a crime in Bradenton, Florida. A Bradenton Police Sargent's son took a loaded gun to school and asked my grandson to hold it for him while he was in a fight with another kid. The policemans son did not want to be caught with it. My grandson is part black. The policeman's son is white. The policeman's son did not get charged with any crimes. Yet my grandson has never held a gun in his hands until this time. Another kid (18 years old) harassed my grandson (calling him terrible racist's names) and threatened him. Yet again, the other kid did not get charged! My grandson does not have any previous charges and has never been in trouble with the law. He comes from a good supportive family. When he went to trial the probation board, The Dept of Corrections and the DA's office requested probation for my grandson. The judge did not even consider it. Why should my grandson pay the price to keep the Policemans son and the policeman out of trouble? What happened to our justice system in the United States?
