I paid my final phone bill in full on 15 April but Verizon claims they failed to receive one of the two checks sent for payment. The check they did receive cleared my bank but the other check, which was a Verizon refund check endorsed back to Verizon, they claim was not in the envelope or somehow got lost. I made a copy of that check (front and back) before sending it. Consequently, we are forced to pay them the amount of the refund check and are out the refund check money as well. Bottom line, they have our refund check and we will be forced to pay the amount of the refund check or be sent to collection.
