NissanUSA Complaint

Consumers Upset with defective Nissan Transmissions - Defective Transmissions

- Maryland
My 2005 Nissan Maxima is having transmission problems as well as thousands of other Nissan owners who have reported this problem to every agency available to have this car called back for a manufacturer defect in the transmissions. Dealers are saying that they are not authorized to open the transmissions to perform services, only replace them. They are going out after the manufacturers warranty, after 60,000 miles and Nissan want the consumer to pay $4,000.00 to $5,000.00 for a replacement. Google Nissan transmission problems and see thousand of complaints made and none of our safety control agencies or any other agencies are stepping up to the plate to make them call these unsafe vehicles back. This is going to cause someone to get hurt or worst case scenerio, a fatality due to the jumping and banging transmissions that is hard to control and I guess then,.. our agencies want to do something about it. NissanUSA will not do ANYTHING to support the thousands of consumers who has made thousands of complaints. This is a total slap in the face to all consumers who depend on car companies to stand behind their name when defective parts are sold to their consumers. Who is going to act on this? No one cares but the consumers who are suffering. I have to make a car payament for the next 2 years on a car that I can not drive. Even if it did get replaced, 60,000 miles later, I will have the same problem again. I am afraid to put my grand children in my car so I have to pay a cab driver to bring them to my house to see me. This is ridiculous and the CEO of Nissan needs to acknowkledge this problem. 90 % of therir customers are customers who have owned Nissans in the past and this is how you treat us. I will never purchase a Nissan ever again in my life and I guarantee you that the thousands of other consumers feel the same way. Look them up and ask them. The truth is in black and white.
