consumers power has ripped me off over and over. first 2003 had all my electric service moved to underground service. The inspector approved the meter location. consumers decided since I didn't buy the wire from them they wouldn't hook my wires up. told me he didn't have the correct connectors big enough forced me to move the meter 20 feet from road on a pole. 400 ft from house. mobile home style. had reinspected and finally hooked up. Now since then they have decided the meter in accessible to read have estimated 9 times in 12 months. that is not legal. my bill was so high at one point I had to pay $1200.00 to get caught up. im on disability. the estimates were way wrong. I called and called consumers and received bad treatment and downright wrong information. finally fed up I got in touch with the Michigan public service commission. they tried to lie to him for a while as well. when I finally sent him the pictures of the location of the meter he was surprised. very accessible for one its not a secure location for the meter. then they promised him to read for several months in a row that only happened 2 months and now here we go again. the real problem is if they do this the rate goes higher on what you use there for if you have a very high reading then you will be charged on that tear that is the scam. More money for them. Please complain to the MICHIGAN PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION get the word out if you do have this problem.
