On August 18,2009, I purchased a 96-Food ELISA Food Intolerance Screening kit for $379 using Google checkout on the internet. The company I purchased it from is Optimum Health Resource Laboratories, Inc. (also known as Better Control of Health--BCH). I was then sent the testing kit which consisted of a pin prick (to prick your finger) and a sterile pad for the blood. I sent the blood sample back to their office, and they sent me an email that the sample was logged in on September 4, 2009. This was the last I heard from this company and have still been waiting for the results.
In return for my payment of $379, I was suppose to get food intolerance screening which was to be sent in a detailed report showing which foods I was screened against and which ones tested as being positive; and which ones were negative. In addition to the printed test results, I was to receive a 48-page "Your Optimum Health Resource Guidebook." Additionally, I was to receive 12 months of unlimited and complimentary support with the recommendations provided by my test results and Guidebook.
I was paying for a service, not just a pin prick and sterile pad to put blood on. When I googled this company and started reading the complaints against them, I decided to dispute the charges with Citi Cards as it looked like I wasn't going to get what I paid for. I disputed the charges in a timely manner.
I was just notified (Nov. 23, 2009) by Citi Cards that I had lost my dispute because Google was not willing to cooperate. They confirmed that I received the kit that I paid for and will not look any further into the purchase--not knowing that I paid for a service, not a pin prick and sterile pad. So, I am left paying the original charges plus interest charges that occurred at around a 20% interest rate.
It also saddens me that this company continues to operate on the internet and take advantage of people. I have all the emails and documentation to back up my claims.
