ConEdison send me a bill on 06/05/06 for $1209.69. I pay my bills every month. ConEdison is saying since I moved in my apartment in November 05, they were not charging me for heat. ConEdison been sending me both actual readings and estimated bills. After reading my meter april I was credited $202.56 to my account,now they are saying I owe them $1209.69. Fine ,if I really own that amount which is not my fault at all, I explained that I am not working at this time and I can not afford to pay the amount above all at once. I ask for a payment plan, they advise me to get public assistance. I told them I am not qualify for it, they said they can not do any thing for me and as a result for service can be disconnected. I spoke to a Mr.George Lafemina on 07/21/06 telling him I could continue to pay my current bills and $50.00 per towards the $1209.69, he said he can only accept $200.00 on August 2, 06 and $125.00 per month.I explain to him a job was offer to me that I am suppose to start the first week in August, so therefore give me until at lease the Aug.7th when I get my first paycheck to make the payment of $200.00 and he turn down my offer. He said he can not help me and my services will be disconnected. How can I suffer the consequence, when I pay my bill every month that is send to me.ConEdison suppose know what they are reading ,when they are reading the meters, that is there job not mines, I PAY MY BILL EVERY MONTH!
