Since the Halloween snow storm I noticed a down wire hanging in my yard about 3 feet off the ground. This wire is not broken and it doesn't go to my house. It is strung up on a pole going through my yard to my neighbor's yard in back of me. I guess it hasn't lost power to her house or she would have called it in. I called con edison at least 7 times and was told that they had other emergencies with outages. I understood that at first, but now it's going on over a monthe and my dog and I can't play in the yard for fear of getting electricuted. I was later contacted by someone from a different department of con edison who left their name and number and babbled something about it's my neighbor's wire. When returning the call I kept getting a tape message where I continued to leave my name and number and still have not gotten any response. I got so frustrated I even called the local police station but they proceeding to give me the con ed customer service number. I want this wire out of my yard. Why does it have to cut across my property anyway? If we get more snow it's going to weigh the wire down even more and probably break and cause more damage! Please help me I am so frustrated!
