It's really a long story, but the bottom line is... My on sale computer was unavailable (big surprise). The store offered to order me one from their online store and it would ship in 2-3 days. I agreed and even purchased a $249 Premium Service plan, which by the way, started in effect the day of purchase (June 11) and not day of arrival of computer. Well....warehouse was out of this computer, so I waited and waited. It finally arrived one month later. The tech came the next day to hook up the system and WOE...it doesn't work(damaged in packing or shipping). Call the store! Guess what? this model computer is discontinued and they will have to locate one. Okay...few days later it arrived and with a little coercion, I got someone to pick up the defective one and take it back to the store. Tech came the next day and "hooked me up"...FINALLY. The next day, I spent over two hours getting all of the tickets, rebate forms, and bar codes ready to send off and get my $130 CompUSA rebate plus my $69.99 for my free printer.
Now you must remember that the computer was a month+ late in getting to me, so I wrote little notes explaining this thinking that because it was CompUSA's fault, and being as naive as I am, figured all would be well. NOPE!! I have now been informed that my rebate is not to be honored. I then contacted the store manager(Jason Scoggins)and he has yet to return any of my calls. I then contacted the corporate office and received a form email stating that my rebate info was sent in past the cutoff date, and it was not going to be honored. I WILL contact them again!! I'm not through yet, and I am hoping that one of the stations and I don't care which, can help me out. Please and Thank-you.
