In May of 2006 I started to use a check writing service to pay my bills through my credit union. In May of 2006 I had given the service all of the information for my bills such as address, account numbers, etc. I had erroneously given a wrong address for my water company. Somehow, the address I gave was for Comcast and they ultimately deposited my check written to New Jersey American Water Co. into their account. I noticed my error regarding the address and notified my credit union of this mistake. This mistake was not rectified until July of 2006.
In the meantime, I had three checks that were written to the water company being deposited into Comcast's account. I have tried numerous times to rectify this matter to no avail. It is only a matter of $132.75 but Comcast has refused to return my money to me. I have had 2 or 3 notices from the water company about my over due account and subsequently had 2 notices to shut off my water due to nonpayment. I have provided copies of these 3 checks to Comcast which verifies that these checks were deposited into their account even though they were written to another company.
I have spent countless hours on the phone with both the water company and Comcast and I even went to Comcast to provided the necessary information for their research department to correct this mistake. To date I have yet to receive any help from anyone and you seem to be my last resort. I have multiple sclerosis and am disable and have had several exacerbations due to the stress of trying to fix this mistake. HELP ME PLEASE!!
