An account closed by me was allowed to be opened by someone else without my consent which caused a bill to run up in my name even though it was a closed account.
5 years have passed and Direct TV now says I owe for the bill and has turned the matter over to a collection agency
Direct TV was negligent in allowing someone else to use my name on an account and run up a bill after I expressly stated that the account was to be closed and not reopened at that specific address (a vacation property)!!
This is just plain wrong!! I'm facing possible credit issues, erroneous billing, and hassle when it was Direct TV's inefficient and negligent operation in the first place
