I have a beautifully restored American Foursquare in Jacksonville's Springfield historic district.
This past June, the city of Jacksonville sent Arwood Demolition to take down a condemned property that was adjacent to my home. In the course of the demolition, my home sustained significant damages including a hole through the outside wall and into my dinning room. To date Arwood has refused to accept financial responsibility for the damages unless I allow them to do the repairs. I have sent estimates from contractors; I have phoned repeatedly to no avail. The city of Jacksonville has taken the position that it is my problem to deal with Arwood and Arwood has taken the position that I must accept their terms or nothing. I need to have the damages repaired. This has already gone way too long and I am concerned about additional damage to my home including getting mold in those exposed areas in the walls.
