I have heart failure, and have been placed on The Heart Transplant List. I am a RN employed by Cigna Insurance Co. after 1 yr I became very ill with defibalator and paecemaker lead breaking in my heart and shocking my heart 55 times causing blood clot in the heart. Cigna approved STD and LTD and the transplant. I have many providers including a 24hr IV central line infusion co. About September I was contacted by all my providers of needed healthcare, to notified claims were not being paid. Called Benefits Billing of Ceridian, the billing co. for Cigna and was told my benbfits were active and covered until October 31, 2011, which is because of bills sent to me and me paying them. When calling Cigna was told I was treminated as of 7 30, 2011 from LTD. No notification of this action caused no continuation of care. I have Medicare as secondary but since I was not notified they were'nt notified, who would have covered me had we known. My IV infusion co. has denied my care with IV meds these meds are to be administered 24hrs daily to help my heart function better until I get my heart. Also po meds that I can't affored with out coverage. I've paid for benefits for 2 companies yet I sit here wondering if someone will show up to change my dressing or not. I don't look for providers to give me treatment for free, but me and my providers are caught up in a web of many mistakes on Cigna's part and they still deny payment of benefits until Oct. 30 2011. With all the new health reform bills passed, I still am left behind. Please help me, I need Cigna to do the right thing today. I've not had coverage for 3 months, that have been paid for. I have been on the phone with Cigna daily trying to resolve this makes me angry and much stres, which is hurting my health, they direct me to other departments over and over saying I need to call other departments. It looks like the only one I can depend on is the Lord, he said" money is the root of all evil "
