When a psychotherapist locked his belonging at LA Fitness in cherry hill for a quick workout during his break at noon he never thought someone would take a bolt cutter and break his lock and steal not only his wallet but his car keys and his pants!!! Upon this discovery he immediately notified the cherry hill police and his office telling them to cancel his appointments for the afternoon due to his inability to drive or leave the gym(since he had nothing on but workout shorts and no keys to drive his car anywhere). He called his wife who quickly proceeded to notify all their credit card companies what happened and found out that two purchases had been made in the cherry hill mall next door to the gym. One purchase made with a Bank of America was reported and the bank accepted the matter as a case of fraud. The other charge made at Macys with a chase Manhattan bank credit card was determined by Chase's fraud department and the investigator Mary to be valid in the interim between March and May.
Upon receiving the notification that he was
being charged 2500 for a watch someone bought at Macy's while he was talking to police at la fitness he contacted mary and her supervisor Vera Glass and after numerous letters and phone calls and statements from two witnesses at work was informed from the supervisor Vera Glass "you all should pay your bill!!!!! The sychotherapist and his wife contacted a lawyer and paid him 200. To write a letter to chase telling them they had no proof and to desist. Six months letter Chase Manhattan started calling him every half hour from morning to night and even on Saturday and Sunday.
His credit had been excellent till this incident and Chase
Manhattan wants him to purchase their credit protection policy to protect him against things like this. He now is forced to proceed with a suit against Chase Manhattan bank
for slander of credit but not without costing him as much money as they say he owes them.
Can anyone help???
