Chase Complaint

Chase Bank Lying to Customers and purposly Forclosing on Properties

- Property is in Tampa, FL

To whom it may concern,

I currently live in Rowlett, TX but the property in this letter is located in Tampa, FL.

1.5 years ago I lost work for 6 months. I have a house in Florida but moved here to Rowlett, TX prior to losing work. When payments got behind on the property in Florida Chase would not work with me at all by any means. They said that I pay it in full/bring it current or they will foreclose and take the property.

I then went the route of doing a short sale on the property. I have a real estate lady and real estate lawyer working on getting the house sold via short sale.

We (Lawyer and real estate lady) spoke with Chase and they said that I could do a short sale on the house. At one point we had the house sold the first time....contract in hand and approved by all parties except Chase. The contract said that the sale would give 3000.00 to the 2nd and 3rd mortgage holders and the 2nd and 3rd both agreed to the 3k.
After approvals by all parties Chase came back and said that they would not give the 3k to each of the other two mortgage holders but instead they would only give 1k to each of them.
We went back and totally did a redo of the paperwork and changing the 3k to 1k and once again all parties were in agrement (2nd and 3rd agreed to 1k each) so we had approvals from everyone except Chase.
Once again Chase turned around and changed their minds and said two weeks later......"No we don't want to give them anything" so the 3k turned into 1k which then turned into $0.....all within a short timeline of around 1-2 months.

So Chase has managed to delay this sale with changing their minds over and over and now are proceeding with foreclosing on the house and will not let me do a short sale whatsoever.

Chase has lied and totally misrepresented to me that I could sell this house and now that the laws have changed in their favor and they recevied their bail out money....they are now going after the peoples houses and purposely foreclosing and not even giving them a chance to make a sale when initially they say we can sell our houses.

I know I am not the only one that Chase is doing this to as I have read paper after paper that this has happened to other people and their is a Class Action law suit against Chase for this "Mis-Representation". Which my lawyer tells me not to get involved with because I can never Win because Chase is much bigger and has a lot more money and in no way can I out last them.

So I'm supposed to sit back and let them take my house and come after me for the rest because the loans out weight what it is currently worth hence the Short Sale.

Honestly...I do not want to keep the house...I just want to sell it and get out from underneath the burden it has been for the past 1.5 years. But Chase has lied to me and now will not give me an option but to basically let them take it period.

I really don't know what to do but I do know that Misrepresentation is illegal and this is exactly what Chase has done.

Sincerely,

Me (Your site says not to put my name)

P.S. The US government thinks that these banks are working with their customers with these so called “Loan Modification” programs which is so untrue. They say the foreclosure level in the country is at a record high but what they don’t know is that these banks are purposely foreclosing on the little guy because they are crooked and greedy sob’s period.

I wish that we could offer you some good advice. However, the State of Florida is a breeding ground for FRAUD. There are laws about misrepresentation on the Florida books but the corrupt judges won't enforce them.

Business owners have judges in their pockets in Florida and it is a dangerous place for consumers to do business.
