What is it with Channel 9? They bid for TV rights on many sports, then treat their viewers with contempt by not showing the whole thing, or delaying the telecast and not showing it live.
Two cases - first, the Rugby World Cup - showing Wallaby matches on two to three hours delay after live NRL. Why did they ever get the broadcasting rights for RWC?
Second, the Presidents Cup Golf - cutting the telecast on Friday BEFORE play was finished for the day to show Eddie McGuire's quiz show at 5:30pm. (They did extend the telecast on Saturday beyond News show time however, so why not on the Friday?)
ALSO, is someone going to tell Eddie McGuire BEFORE commentary starts today (Sunday) on the golf that player Baddeley's Christian name is Aaron, not Adam? And that in matchplay you should call leads as "holes" not "strokes". These consistent and REPEATED errors are grating and annoying, and are typical of what happens when you put put inexperts and self-appointed experts on air.
