After putting up with poor to no cell phone reception at my home from T-Mobile for 5 years, I decided to switch carriers despite the fact that one of the lines on my account was still "under contract". I requested that T-Mobile void the $200 cancellation fee due to the fact that they have been unable to provide the service that I was paying for. They refused (by phone and written complaint letter).
I am 62 years old and it is imperative that I have reliable cell phone service. I don't think it's fair for T-Mobile to charge me the $200 cancellation fee, when it was T-MOBILE who was not providing the service as promised.
What can I do? Calls and complaint letters have not worked, and I can't afford the $200 cancellation fee.
