City of Chicago Complaint

Cave-In Hole in the Street

- USA
In March, 2008 the City came out to dig a hole in the street because a water line had broken. After work was completed the City did not come back and fix the cave in hole in the street at 825 East 48th Street in Chicago, Illinois. This cave in hole is very, very deep. Children are playing in this hole and could get hurt, it also makes the area look bad. Could you have someone come out and repair the street.

On Monday, October 12, 2009 I e-mail Alderman Toni Peckwinkle, 4th Ward and told her about the cave-in hole in the street. I also called her office at 773-536-8103 and talked to her secretary Naima Booker and Ms. Booker said she would look into this matter. I also called 311 and reported this incident, but to no avail.

It will be 2 years in March, 2010 and this is a very long time for the City not to repair the hole in the street, since it is very dangerous. Could you help speed up this process before a child get seriously hurt.

Thank you,

Krystal Miller
