This a story about paying my bill on line through my bank - Citizens Bank to AT&T wireless. I have been using my online banking for years now and never had a problem. On 5/16/2011 My AT&T bill was paid by my bank. The only problem was it overpaid my bill by $1000.00. The Bank says it was a fat finger (my problem) they can't do anything about it. It probably was my fault but I checked the numbers twice but I'll take it as my fault. The problem is now that we have a credit of $1000.00 in our AT&T account, they will not give us our money back. They go round and round with us. They have asked for the bank statement showing that the money acutally came out of our account, We sent them that. The Negative balance in our account confused them, so they dropped the case thinking we are trying to SCAM them. We called them back wondering about the refund and when it will be in our account and we had to jump through more hoops. They asked for the cleared E-Check. We sent them that. They still are having a problem believing that the money has left our account. We have a negative in our checking account of $1000.00 and a positive of a $1000.00 in our AT&T account. No Stop payment was placed on the check because it was a e-check (guaranteed funds). They still refuse to hand over the money. AT&T has the worst customer service. My husband has spent 3 gours on the phone with them on Tues and another 5 1/2 on the phone with them on Friday. Trying to get a hold of the same person twice is impossible. We just want them to put the $1000.00 back into our bank accout. We have never been late on a payment. We don't owe them any outstanding fees. It was an innocent "Fat Finger" mistake that could happen to anyone. We were Verizon customers for over 10yrs and decided to change over to AT&T in December when our contract was up. Now we regret changing to AT&T. WE wish we stayed with Verizon. Thank you for your time. Stacia Heyn
