I recently purchased a 2001 Dodge ram 1500 (with 65000 miles.) from a dealership on Frankford ave. It came with a clean car fax and a 3 month or 3000 mile warranty on the drive train, transmission & transfer case. in less than a month and half the transmission blew. the warranty company is trying to say the transmission was not covered for seals and gas kits and an inner seal blew. so they are not responsible. the dealership is giving me the run around. my mechanic has told me the bad stories he has had dealing with these companies. as a consumer I brought the truck with a warranty that coved all previously mentioned
I even asked straight out if the Trans Blows it will be fixed right? I was told yes. also the car fax was clean, but my mechanic told me the trans was rebuilt @ a year ago witch did not show on the car fax. I feel as a consumer I did all I was supposed to do to protect my self and these measures were misleading and false, still all I have is a broken truck. I have to wonder how many others are going thru the same thing .
