I went to a local dealer to purchase a 2011 Toyota Prius to replace my 2007 Prius. When we finally agreed on the Prius, I was quickly transferred to a Finance Officer to finish transaction. I was charged several hundred dollars more than the final price and payed several hundreds more for the extended warranty. When I tried to reach my salesperson the dealership told me that he was off and not available. When I stopped by to see the same Finance Officer, he told that he doesn't have the signed paper to compare. I was also inquiring my CD's in old car I trade in yesterday, they told me that they sold it to a wholesaler.
I even called my salesperson in the morning before I stopped by the same afternoon.
The contract is very difficult to understand and $1,000.00 rebate was included in the final price without disclosing at the beginning. This dealership is somewhat deceptive and misleading. I wanted to speak to a general manager but was transferred to my salesperson's direct supervisor. He said that he would take care of the matter but I doubt it.
