Capital one credit card services Complaint

What's in your wallet? TROUBLE - credit card payoff

- Richmond, Virgnia
Paying off a credit card should be easy but it's not. Being debt free is great until you do a credit check. On June 7 th 2007 I tried to pay off my cedit card because I sold my house and nobody knew the payoff amount and I was at the bank along with the buyer and realestate agents. They said they would have to fax a paper to the bank which took another week. As time went on we finally received the paper and paid off the card, and the house changed hands. In that time I had lost my father and 2 months later I lost my mother and moved in with my step father. My husband and I were starting to look for a house to buy and tried to get pre-approved for a lone only to find out that on my credit report Capital one had put me down as deceised and in my mind I thought you had to have proof that someone had passed away like maybe a (DEATH CERTIFICATE). It took 3 months with the help of an attorney to get this cleared up. After this I had another credit report checked and they had put my husband down as deceised and now I have to have that changed with the help of my attorney. I want to see a (DEATH CERTIFICATE). After all these problems I'm still not being able to get a house because of the credit report. After going through 2 deaths in 1 year I had to have a death certificate proofing that my father & mother were dead. Now companies can say your dead without anything and you pay attorny's to say your alive. It's harded to prove your alive then it is to proof your dead. Trying to find help for this problem is very diffecult.

Very Frustrated in Senecaville, Ohio
