Capital One Bank Complaint

Don't try to close your account - no can do

- California
I tried to closed my credit card account with Capital One Bank. After three or four months and a useless complaint with the Banking Commission, the account was finally closed.

If you like to argue, fight with people over the telephone, be told lies, then try to close your account too and you won't be disappointed.

I had the exact same experience with Capital One. Supposedly, you cannot close your account until "30 days passes since your last transaction." Unfortunately, even calling to check on the status of your account seems to constitute a "transaction"! It took me approximately 3 years to finally (after about 8 phone calls and two letters) close my Capital One account.
