I have now seen the exact same movie on most TV stations
in portland in less then 30 days. The federal govt.
now allows monopoly of our local media by one owner.
A cheap way for the TV media baron is now beginning
to put them selves out of buisness, just like the
dummies of our news papers. instead of drawing the
consumer in they chase us away. No consumer, No
revenue, the math is simple. Poor digital signals
are making it worse. I AM BEING DRIVEN AWAY.
The 300 dollars already spent to receive a digital
signal from a transmitter only 7 miles away and
the signal is intermittent at best. I am told
"you will just have to live with it".
Analog was great compared to digital, a snowy
picture is still watchable, a no signal banner
or frozen picture are not.
I am going to watch movies and reruns on the web
from now on. If I can not watch news, weather and
get emergency broadcast what good is local digital
broascast anyhow...Some day a real emergency is
going to happen and the FCC and Federal gov. are
going to again be responsible for many deaths.
