Ticketbust.com Complaint

Bust Ticketbust.com! - Filing service for Trial by Declarations for traffic tickets

- Internet / Westlake Village, California
There is a company called Ticketbust.com that files Trial by Declaration Forms for people who are trying to get out of speeding tickets.

The company pressures you into giving credit card information (as many free trials do) as a prerequisite to providing further information and promises the credit card will not be charged until an authorization form is signed by the consumer and returned.

In fact they charge the credit card immediately, and refuse to refund the money, even when contacted within 2 hours of the credit card being charged, claiming that service can not be cancelled and that they have already provided services. The services which they provided consisted of sending an email with attachments to engage their services and authorize the credit card charge. when the consumer does not return the executed authorizations Ticketbust.com claims the consumer was negligent in returning documents and continues to refuse the refund.

My experience went as follows:
I filled out an online form in order to receive further information on their services. Within 5 minutes a service representative from Ticketbust.com called to follow up and pressured me into giving her my credit card information, but assured me that no charges would be made until I signed and returned the paperwork she forwarded by email, which would authorize the charges and engage Ticketbust.com's services.

Ten minutes after this phone conversation I received an email receipt for a charge of $458 to my credit card. Yes the charge was made before I agreed to engage their services or authorized any payment for those services.

The immediate charge to my credit card set off alarm bells in my head. I did some internet research and discovered a lot of people were displeased with the company, their business practices and their deceptive method of getting people's credit card numbers and insisting that by providing a credit card number the consumer had retained Ticketbust.com's services.

I immediately (within 3 hours of initial contact with Ticketbust.com) sent an email to Ticketbust.com telling them that I would not be using their services and to kindly refund the credit card charges. Ticketbust.com's response was that "we have already provided service to you the consumer and therefore can not make any refund."

In 2 hours they did $458 worth of work on my behalf???? All they did is send an email with some paperwork attached which I decided not to fill out and return since I would not be using their services. Ticketbust.com called me negligent for not completing the paperwork, and continues to claim that they have provided services for which they are entitled to the $458.

Any paperwork generated was the result of me filling out the online form and not the result of any service provided by Ticketbust.com.
I am not the only one complaining but they have a pat response of why would anyone give their credit card number if not to retain our services?
But anyone who has ever done a trial subscription via the internet has provided a credit card number, without implying a continued use of service.

I hope you can expose Ticketbust.com's underhanded practices so that no one else gets cheated out of their hard earned money!
