I received a form and instruction in the mail that deceptively makes a business think that the Florida State government is sending out forms and instructions on how to pay $125 to get your annual minutes filed. This form and attached instructions make it appear that this comes from the Florida Department of State Corporations office. Had I not put it aside (which a little voice told me sit on it), or taken a second look when I had more time, I probably would have been another fish for these guys. I’m 67 years old and not a novice at this business stuff, but they almost got me.
It is pathetic that companies like this are allowed to use State Records for profit.
They should at least be made to change their disclaimer to “THIS PRODUCT WAS NOT APPROVED BY, ENDORSED OR DISTRIBUTED BY THE STATE OF FLORIDA OR ANY OF ITS DEPARTMENTS OR AGENCIES.”
People are getting ripped off with this deception.
