Budget Suites Complaint

Hidden Charges - Extended Stay Facility

- 2770 North State Highway 360, Grand Prairie, Tx
My hotel stay was AWFUL. . . I rented a room for one full week. I had previously stayed at Budget suites at different locations and was satisfied with the room, staff and my accommodations. But I would advise everyone to stay away from this Budget Suite off 360 highway in Grand Prairie, TX.
The staff is very rude and unfriendly. My room did not include a microwave oven when I asked why no microwave I was told very rudely by office staff that “I didn’t pay for one”. The room had roach motels in every room of the suite including the cabinets and closet. The bed was awful and the blood stained sheets that I paid for did not fit the slippery Plastic mattress . The towels that I had also paid for was thread thin, yellow and dirty. The TV made an awful buzzing nose when turned on. I wanted to check out after the first night and was told my credit card would still be billed for full week NO REFUND! Also note that if you get a corner suite that is an additional charge but this info is not disclosed to you at time of check in.

I was also told when I checked out that I would have to remove the trash from the trash can in the room before I could get my deposit back. I was told when I checked in the deposit would include clean up after leaving. When I complained to the manager/clerk on duty I was told "This isn't the "Best Western" I am a real estate agent and have a lot of relocation clients. I will never recommend this facility to any of my clients as a matter of fact I will strongly advise NOT use this facility! I feel consumers should be made aware this particular facility. This facility doesn't have customer service or a corporate office (that can be found) for complaints, which makes me wonder if they are aware of the scams and do not want to hear their customers concerns.

My husband and I are staying currently at the same Budget Suites. We are building a home and waiting for it's completion. We have some of the same complaints and some that are different. The towels 'are' thread thin and the staff hands them out like they are gold...very sparingly and we are 'paying' for the 'previlege' to use them!! The place is noisy and the neighbors are rude and discourteous. We have found the staff to be fairly user friendly, but the manager is very rude and curt! The room is in dissary, e.g. the carpet is pulling away from the wall in the corner of the room. The furniture is old and needs to be replaced. I agree that the bed is uncomfortable and the maid staff uses flat sheets in lieu of the bottom sheet so the sheet does not stay in place during the night and you are sleeping on a bare mattress by morning. The cabinets need to be re-frinished badly. My husband and I would not recommend this facility to our worst enemy much less anyone we truly care for!!!! You are correct about complaints. They basically fall on deaf ears. I am in fear of leaving the room after dark due to the clientel that is serviced here in general. This is like living in the getto. I tried to find information on the corporate offices of this place, but I guess the information is closely guarded!

I was accused of robbery when I was at work but fortunately the guys were caught and yet I have not received a apology...I guess that's what you get when you work and stay out of drama

This place is a rip off. I have had so much trouble with them. They now have a new manager and have stayed there for sometime. I work during day and get paid daily cash and budget knows myh situation and agreed when moved in. Today, I was moving out and would take a little longer than 12:00pm. The manager snuck up while I was not there immediate at 12:00pm and locked me out and said I had to pay for another full day. The room was filthy when moved in. They did not clean the carpet and when my girlfriend had to clean herself due to filth, the dirt was so think it clogged her high quality carpet cleaner many times. THere are roaches, no microwave and they told me I was getting a discount due to quality of room and them not cleaning. Osha should be called on these people. They are rude, change the rules, drug infested all over the place, noisy, and they come into your room and go through things. My couch was broken and took over a month to get one that had all the cushions. THe closet door was broken off, draw fronts broken off and disgusting. You would think they would be courteous enough to tell you locking the door, so could prepare to pay for another night

Budget Suites are far from cheap. They have been running an ad in the green sheet forever that lists every Budget Suites by name and address in the Dallas area and this ad states that a one bedroom is $179 a week with no restrictions. The Budget Suites in the Colony tried to hit me for $270 and the one off 121 in Lewisville said they didn't have to honor the ad. After some haggling, the manager agreed to give me a top floor room for $179. The only thing is after the girl finished my bill, it came to $215. She said that was for taxes. $40 for Taxes? These places are all a ripoff and should be fined by the housing authority for bait and switch. You don't advertise one price and then charge another. All these places are ripping people off and the city of Dallas should step in and put a stop to the overcharging.
