We were contacted by a DirectStarTV Associate. Promised four receivers installed in any four rooms for twelve months at NO charge for all of the receivers. Was told we would get discounts for being first time customers, told we would get discount for referral plan, was told there would be no charge for installation, was charged $75.00 toward installation day of installtion which was April 08th, 2010. Had to go online to www.fastrebate.com for additional rebates. Was sent email from directTV saying first bill would be approx. $68.00 plus tax which was quoted and was wrong. Called directTV received customer service said they could not add referral rebate would have to cancel and redo the entire account. Was transferred to cancellation section, lady there said she could make changes with no problem. And bill would be $41.99 for ten months. On April 13th, 2010 had service for five days, received bill in the amount of $58.45. Called April 13th, 2010 and asked for Supervisor, was put on hold and hungup on me. Called back talked with customer service ask to speak to Supervisor again, and was told it would be over an hour to be able to speak with one, told directTV to cancel service and was told I would have to pay cancellation fee. Please pull up consumer complaints on directTV and see the numerous problems people are having with this Company. They need to be put out of business!!!
