Amber Alert for Pets Complaint

Bring Sammi Home for Christmas - Finding lost pets

- Eden Park, Cincinnati
Mothers love their sons. They hurt when their babies hurt. Even when that baby is 24 years old and 6 foot 5. So when my son's little brindle boxer went missing Monday, and he was broken hearted, I needed to help. Since I couldn't go out looking for her since I live in Akron and he lives in Eden Park, I got on the computer and found an Amber Alert for dogs. We were thrilled that they promised to contact 1000 home owners in his area and all the vets, shelters and pet related businesses for us. We swallowed hard and paid the three hundred dollars.
My son and a whole team of friends walked in the cold putting up about 2000 fliers. They called, knocked on doors and searched. Our ace in the hole was the Amber Alert system helping us out.
Still wanting to do something to help, I decided to call a list of Cincinnati vets I got off the internet and make a personal plea. Every vet I've called has denied getting an Amber Alert. No one the kids have talked to has gotten an Amber Alert. And no one at the company will call my son or myself back.
So our beloved Sammi is missing. Our three hundred dollars is gone. And from what I can tell, no one will call to tell me why their promise of help was a sham.
What can I do?
