I bought a brand new Ford Mustang at Frontier Ford one week ago. Got under the hood this week-end and noticed thick rust and pitting on engine block, exhaust headers, power steering pump, alternator, crank shaft pully, rear axle and rear differential, rust had already pitted the metal and is thick and solid. Dealership is saying it is only surface rust!! I have many pictures with close up detail.
I have a Chevy truck which is six years old and has no rust anywhere, went to other dealerships and they are not selling NEW cars rusted out. It may be normal for Ford, but other dealerships can't believe their eyes. But once the car is sold and out the door it seems to not be Frontier Ford's problem. I told them I wanted a different car, I can't pull engine apart to see how much damage there actually is. Again this is not a used car but supposedly brand new. Or is it?
Anyone ever bought a brand new car off the lot and found out it was a rust bucket.
