I had my daughter’s birthday party this weekend at “Bouncin Around on Helms Trail, Forney TX”. I called the Thursday before to confirm everything was in order, not once did Teresa tell me the didn’t work. We get there at 1:15 and it was HOT… My husband asked the lady in the front and she said oh we just turned it on 5 minutes ago it takes a while to cool down. Then we go into the bounce room and the hostess comes to me and tells me the air doesn’t work. It was 93 in there and the high on Sunday was 106 with a National Excessive Heat Warning with an index of 110.
I had already paid 300.00 and I asked them if I could get a refund thinking I could move my party at that time, the hostess said she would call the owner, she came back to me and said I left a message. Then about 20 minutes later she said well the owner called back and didn’t know what the problem was. THE AIR DOESN’T WORK! But I would need to call her about the refund.
The hostess told us we could come in the party room as many times as we needed to, to get out of the 93’ bounce room. So we have kids going back and forth, none of the adults can bounce because it was WAY TOO HOT. They also had fan’s all over the place with the cords in the way and a few kids fell because of the cords. The kids pretty much stayed in front of the fans the whole party. We had people that had to leave as soon as they got there because they were older and with infants. I had asked on Thursday before the party if we can only be in the party room long enough for cake and ice cream, since you pay so much money you want to be able to bounce as long as you can.
At 3:20 I asked the hostess what time we needed to leave she said oh don’t worry with all this its ok no big deal. By 3:50 we were walking out the door, I asked once again if they were going to refund us for the inconvenience and I was told I needed to call the owner.
Monday my husband called and they told us well it is just hot outside and the 93 that was on the thermometer is also based on the attic, it wasn’t that hot in there. Then they also informed us that it wasn’t too bad since we stayed until 4, and they never refund anyone their money. I wouldn’t be asking for my money back if there air conditioner worked.
I have had a party in July at Moon Jumpers also in Forney and had no problems with the air conditioner! Yes it is hot outside but when you have a good air conditioner you aren’t hot in a building, house or store.
This hasn’t been resolved and I am very upset, I don’t understand how anyone knows there air conditioner doesn’t work and is hosting bounce parties. This is very dangerous, and as business owners they should be more concerned about the well-being of the kids rather than making money! They should be closed until they have the AC fixed!
