IM PISSED and SO IS THOUSANDS other BMW 5 SERIES owners. BWM is suppose to have a high quality made vehicles. After owning my 2006 BMW. I know that BMW cars are strong cars when you keep them maintenance. But what about things that are out of normal maintenance and checking. Like the Micro Power Module. BMW I fell intentionally hide this module, not only did they place this Highly Sensitive Module in dangerous place. (under the spare tire in the bottom of the car. If your trunk leaks, or you spill grocery (liquid like milk or anything wet) cooler leak, ice bag, anything. The moisture will drain down under your spare tire. and IF ANY WATER touched that Micro Power Module. ITS FIRED and BLOWN. You will have to replace it. BMW has been making cars for over 30 years. Common Sense will tell a car maker to NOT put a NON WATER RESISTANT module where was often gets. My car MPM Micro Power Module is BLOWN. WHY? because I had groceries in the trunk and water bottle fell over spilled and drained into the spare tire well, water touched the MPM and FRIED IT. Google has so many other people this has happen to, people who got heavy rain in the area, please who had coolers from family outings in the trunk. Groceries in the trunk, Ice Bags etc. BMW should be ashamed of placing a sensitive module in place like this. Just to think I thinking about getting a 650 convertible. NOT ANYMORE! Do not buy BMW until you do all your homework. Great craftsmanship is NOT suppose to like this. You expect this from other maker NOT BMW. I called corporate and they told me that their is nothing they can do cause my warranty went out in July 3 months ago. THIS IS NOT RIGHT!! I can see other parts, but this MPM is out of site and BMW is NEGLIGENT because they place this part in a water prone place. I have paid for other things on my car, but this seems like a scam to get people back into the dealership. I won't stop until BMW replace this part and have my idrive working again.
