BINDER & BINDER Complaint

Thrown out like TRASH

- NY
In 2004 I hired Binder & Binder to handle my disability case. They claimed to be the #1 best Social security disability advocates. Well...to make a very long story short
3 years later my hearing was finally here. The reason for the 3 year delay was due to the fact Binder & Binder was not sending my doctors reports. I was told they wouldn't send anything that would hinder my case. Instead they just held it up. When I found that out I sent my records directly to social security dept. With in 3 weeks I had a hearing date. One week before my hearing date I received a phone call from BINDER & BINDER .... THEY WERE DROPPING MY CASE !!! I was told I would not win my case. They hung me out to dry !! I have a written letter from them saying they would not continue my case.
Although the out come for me was great... I won the case. I am receiving SS disability and I DONT OWE BINDER AND BINDER A DIME.
For any one who needs to file for ss disability... trust me you can do it yourself. All the information you need can be found on line at the Dept of social security

Bravo....and KUDOS to you! I have seen and considered calling them myself but truth be told, and I know it is cliche' to "judge a book by its cover" but the guy in their commercials alone, was enough to put me off. Everything about this guy caused the very fiber of my being to feel they were ripping people off and are only looking to get their cut from any unsuspecting victims too involved in their medical problems to be wary enough to pick up on what they really are about.

Listen to this man people...you do NOT need a representation in order to get approved for SSD, what you DO need are as many of your medical records you can provide, and to be in constant touch with your worker evaluating your claim, to know from which medical facility they are waiting upon for a response in the form of additional chart records or test results, and then CALL your medical facility and pester them to expedite their complying with the requests from SSD.

THIS is what consumes the majority of time between application date and decision.

By doing things in this manner I applied for SSD on 3/26/10 was approved on 7/18/10 THAT'S RIGHT 3 1/2 months from application to approval.

The next biggest reason for delay or denial is your previous 15 years work history, if you are deemed able to ANY form of ANY of those positions you had, you will not be approved. I applied due to two herniated discs in my lumbar with three bulging one each in my neck, a tear in my knee meniscus, and pinched nerves in both elbows. Nothing earth shattering, but yet highly incapacitating, and many days i cannot get out of the house in less than three hours and sometimes cannot leave for days. But this was not this bad at that time, I had worked until 10-26-09 I was 52 at that time.

GOOD LUCK to those waiting for their response.
