I recently paid over $12 dollars to send a letter by certified mail. The envelope contained paper work
related to my tax return and was addressed to a tax consultant. Obviously, it
contained confidential financial information.
When I tried to track the number, I kept getting the message that there was no
record of it. After endless attempts to speak to someone (going through recorded
menu after recorded menu), I was told that there was no record of the tracking
number. I had to insist on speaking to a supervisor who took my details and said
they would follow up. I have had no feedback and am extremely concerned about
the whereabouts of these documents.
It beggars belief that the post office is unable to deliver or track the
letter when I paid $12 to ensure safe delivery and then they have the gall to
expect me to run around and follow up on its whereabouts.
In addition, while I was on hold waiting to speak to a live person, I had to listen to recorded messages singing the praises of the postal service and its reliability and guaranteed deliveries HA!!!!
