On August 4, 2007, we purchased a leather sofa and love seat from Bellach's furniture in Rocklin, California. The sofa was special ordered from a Canadian manufacturer. The
store required a 50% down payment, or $1,350. We were told to expect delivery on or before October 4, 2007. We contacted the store in September to confirm delivery and was told that delivery would not occur until November. We contacted the store again in November and was told to expect delivery in December. When December arrived, we contacted the store and was told to expect furniture in late December or early January. It is January 10, 2008, and no furniture has arrived. Sales staff are very uncooperative and unwilling to provide information or take any follow-up action to determine status of delivery. They are smug and act as though they know nothing! We asked one employee whether there was any way to track our order and he stated he would have to have the general manager call Mr. Bellach. At one point, a store representative told us the delivery truck had left the manufacturer, but he didn't know where it was.
We spoke to the store district manager to resolve delivery status with no success. He failed to return calls as promised and when he did return calls, he refused to make a commitment to resolve the matter. He contradicted what he told us, essentially lying about promises to either deliver furniture or refund deposit. Subsequent to that, on Tuesday, January 8, I contacted the district manager to commit him to providing information on the whereabouts of our furniture. He agreed to contact me on January, either way, with some answers and did not. As of January 10, he has yet to return my call.
They have refused to refund my deposit. My furniture is three months overdue and there seems to be no hope to resolve this matter with Bellach's!
