My rent check was not accepted by my rental agency they received a notice from my bank NSF...but when I ckecked the day my check went in there was plenty of money there. My bank also said there was a hold on my account for back taxes (20 years ago) but the bank continued to pay out bills after the account was frozen and my check was denied which came in the same day as the freeze was placed. I went to bank and got a money order for my rent, but the rental agency wants an additional $75.00, and will not accept payment without it. I don't have the $75.00 and can't pay my rent.. I am facing possible eviction and have confronted the bank for the money but they refuse to help me...what can you do ? I am on a fixed income of SSI..
